Who will pay for my replacement vehicle?

Under our agreement with you, you will not be liable for the rental costs provided you are not at-fault, assist us in recovery of those costs from the at-fault party and otherwise act in accordance with the terms and conditions of our agreement.

If we require your assistance in recovering the rental costs, this may include you having to provide documents, witness statements, and in some rare cases, appearing in court as a witness in proceedings we bring in your name.

How will I receive my replacement vehicle?

We can have the car available at your repairer so when you drop off your car for repairs you can simply drive away in our car.

What type of vehicle will I get?

We aim to arrange a car of similar value and specification to your vehicle. So if you have a small hatchback or a SUV, we can get you into something similar so you can get on with your everyday life.

How long can I keep the replacement vehicle?

In most cases, you can have a replacement car for the duration of the repair.

Once you’re advised of the scheduled repair completion date, or when you are notified you will be receiving a settlement amount, you must notify us immediately so that arrangements can be made for the vehicle to be returned at a time and location convenient for you. Failure to notify us may require for you to pay for any days that we are unable to recover the rental costs from the at-fault party or their insurer.

Will I need a credit card or deposit?

No, we do not require a deposit or any credit card details from you.

We do have the option for you to provide a credit card for any tolls or infringements you incur while in our car. This is optional.

Are there any restrictions on kilometres travelled in the hire car?

No, our vehicles come with unlimited kilometre hire.

Can additional drivers drive the replacement vehicle?

Yes, provided the driver’s hold a current and valid learners, provisional or full drivers licence. Please note: Learner or Provisional licence holders are subject to our prior approval.
